From 17 to 19 September 2025, the Digital Rail Convention (DRC) took place for the fourth time in Annaberg-Buchholz, Saxony – and Neovendi was right in the thick of it. Organised by the Smart Rail Connectivity Campus (SRCC), the event focused on digitised and automated rail mobility and sustainable transport solutions.
As an active participant, Neovendi not only gained exciting insights into current developments in the railway industry, but also provided impetus itself: as part of Conference Day on 17 September, we held a workshop on the MINOS (see Link below) funding project with our consulting partners DB InfraGO, DB Systel and Mainz University of Applied Sciences. The workshop focused on the intelligent use of rail data for emergency services and other transport users – a topic that is becoming increasingly important in the context of safety and efficiency.
The workshop met with lively interest and provided a platform for exchange with colleagues from research, industry and the public sector. The constructive discussion on the practical implementation of MINOS and the possibilities for integration into existing systems was particularly encouraging.
In addition to our contribution, the DRC offered a diverse programme with keynotes, workstreams, demonstrations and exhibitions. The atmosphere was characterised by a spirit of innovation and the common goal of actively shaping the future of rail transport.
We would like to thank the organisers for their excellent work and look forward to the next steps in the MINOS project – and, of course, to the DRC 2027!
